Just looking at this thing makes me sleepy . . . ::yawn::

< >Happy Halloween! This would approximately be the twenty-first anniversary of Lily and James Potter's deaths, going by the shaky timeline set-up for the books. Kind of scary, neh? Be safe to all the people going out tonight.

< >The Leaky Cauldron is reporting Christopher Lee, most recently of Lord of the Rings fame playing Saruman (the dark wizard), will take over as Albus Dumbledore. Many of us were hoping Ian McKellen would take over the role; frankly, I would have cried, because I love Ian. ::glowers at his boyfriend:: Anyway, if this current rumours is in fact true, while Christopher Lee scared the ultimate crap out of me in LotR, I think he'll do a good job.

< >I updated the Links section (including the banner exchange), the webmistress random things, and I shut down Fan Art for reasons I was made aware of late last night. On a much happier note, I updated The Spirit Room! Chapter three, "Turn it Inside Out," is now officially up. Feel free to review it on Schnoogle or E-mail me about it! I'll feel special if you do. I've also decided to post my own original fiction and you can also read the random stuff here.
< >By the way, everyone better have set their clocks back today. You had an hour extra of sleep! This is always a good thing. ::laughs at people - Beanie - living in Arizona:: You may not change your clocks, but we sleep longer and - and - well, I can't think of anything else to say. ::cackles evilly for no reason::

< >Even sadder news this evening. Richard Harris passed away earlier today at University College Hospital in London of complications due to his illness. He led a very colourful life and was a truly great actor; Mr. Harris was 72. Our thoughts are now with his family and friends. He died peacefully in his sleep at University College Hospital in London, due to complications of treatment for Hodgskin's Disease. You will always be King Arthur, Captain Nolan, James Jarvis, Marcus Aurelius - and, of course, Albus Dumbledore. Good-bye, Mr. Harris, and thank you for gracing us with your wonderful life. You are forever in our hearts.

< >If you caught the interview with Daniel Radcliffe on MTV the other day (or NBC's Today), you were in for a treat. Even my opinion of Daniel went up because . . . well, I'm not sure how to explain myself, but he was just so shy and modest that I had a giggling fit, and that does NOT happen under very many circumstances when I'm alone and watching television. Anybody have a transcript, by the way, or do I have to type it up myself?
< >Sad news to tell everyone. There have been rumours about Richard Harris having Hodgkin's Disease and not being able to do any more Potter movies. I don't know about the latter statement, but it was confirmed by CBS's Entertainment Tonight (I believe) that yes, Mr. Harris (Albus Dumbledore) does have cancer. Our thoughts go out to him.

< >If you guys want a good laugh and something to dance to, go to HarryPotterSongs.com and listen to "Harry Potter's School". It has a beat like Monster Mash and I see Tim Curry strutting around in a corset grooving to it. I'd join him! Anyway, check out the song -- it's great, written by Mark Davis and recorded by the Bob Martinson Band. Start calling your radio stations in November to request it!
< >There will not be an eighth Harry Potter book, says BBC's Newsround. ::rolls her eyes:: How many of us really care now if there will be a fifth one or not, just as long as BOOK 5 COMES OUT?!?!? ::takes a deep breath and looks around at several hundred identical faces:: I thought as much.
< >Daniel Radcliffe appears on MTV's Total Request Live tomorrow. Show starts at 3:30 PM EST.

< >Tiny correction to the movie length, thanks to Amar Mehta. The BBC, which knows everything and can be counted among the gods (I'm kidding), has said that sadly, no, the COS movie will not be 178 minutes long. It will clock in at about two and a half hours, or 155 minutes. Site update: added Naadi's wonderful site to my sister site list. Mucho yayness.

< >Wow, look at all the late-night/early-morning updates. I am such a night owl. ::mutters about reading fanfiction too much and botching history essays:: Anyway, thanks to my buddy Tim (Lupin's Favourite Flea!), I have several pieces of movie news. The movie, according to CountingDown is 2 hours and 58 minutes long. Let me go Californian on you all and say, "Dude!" That's awesome, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to sit through that long of a movie if I end up not liking it. ::rubs chin thoughtfully::
< >The other news is that out in my lovely state, California as I mentioned, the public is getting a sneak preview of the movie on October 25 in Los Angeles! So are the lovely people Sparks, Nevada and a few other cities. Fandango has the complete information. Enjoy, and I may or may not see my fellow statesmen there. ::looks at her English teacher:: Interested in buying tickets for your family to go see COS with your favourite students, McBride? Hehe, on Mr. McBride's request, I updated the Thanks page to credit him for my success in life. Well, happy trails, all! And please tell me what you think of another new fanfic of mine, Quiet Eyes.

< >Argh, what is with you people? I have been getting hardly an E-mail for the past few days and I've been feeling quite lonely. ::sniffs:: I need a hug.
< >Uploaded chapters three and four of Hannah's "When the Night Broke." She's on a roll, people; her stuff is up, along with Caitlin Kim's "Gone Forever?". Enjoy! Tonight, I also finished and polished another fan fiction of my own. It's called "Quiet Eyes". Thanks again to Beanie, Tracy, Narcissa, and Siofra from the message boards who support the story. I love you guys!
< >Notable site update: Webmistress Pictures! Yes, you get to see pictures of me with all my friends. I'm sure you feel so special. Baca.

< >Buwahaha, Characters has been updated! New character drawings by the lovely Meg, in all sections. In Animals: James Potter, Remus Lupin (updated), Peter Pettigrew, and Sirius Black. Adults: Tom Riddle and Lord Voldemort, pictures added to bio. Kids: Blaise Zabini, that person with no apparent gender! ::loves this picture::
< >The site also reached 2.2 million hits tonight. ::coughs loudly:: Wow! That's a lot! I'm very happy people are still coming here to read my ramblings. ::hugs everyone:: You all get cookies. Thank Meg for the pics, you guys, and thank you for visiting!

< >Well, as I reported in August, there will be a premiere in Los Angeles! Yay! Click here to see the proof. ::does a little dance:: HP is coming to LA!

October 4, 2002 8:25 PM
< >Much to my surprise, I just uploaded a rip-roaring, WHOMPING fifteen fanfictions to the submitted section, including all of Hannah Davenport's "Twisted" and its sequel, "When Night Breaks." I'm also currently updating the art section with new art, along with making the pages faster to load. As I said yesterday, Links was updated and I think I'm going to start doing "Featured Links of the Month."
< >Anyway, please read and review my new stories The Spirit Room and Comets, Beards, and Men. I appreciate any and all comments; I don't think any review I've received has been in any way similar to another one. Nobody can agree. ;-)
< >Before I sign out, I'd like to let you guys know that Cooper Owen is holding another At the Movies auction on October 10th. Items include signed posters, various movie props, a jacket, an acceptance letter, and much more! A pair of Robbie Coltrane's boots and a Hagrid picture are also up for auction.
< >Movie news! The rumour saying Alan Rickman is a bit bored with the film-making procedures and may not come back for POA, unless he has more screen time, is a lie. But even if it was true, who wants to argue that? I would back him up completely! More Snape! ::grins:: Anyway, AOL users! You've got a great contest to enter. Tell me if you win!

< >Happy 54th Birthday, to my uncle Clay! (Update: Links)

October 2, 2002 12:28 PM
< >I'm working on a serious Fan Works update for this weekend. I've had a lot to do lately, with fundraisers for school and changing around classes. I'm also manuvering submitted fanfics around to alleviate bandwith charges. People, if you want to help me keep the site going, please buy through my store!
< >What I did do, though, instead of studying for a French test, was update The Spirit Room. Chapter Two, "Sweet Misery," has now been posted. I also wrote a little ficlet called Comets, Beards, and Men in the space of about half an hour. Let's say baby killing inspired me. ::gets several raised eyebrows and smirks::
